In August 2024, I had the privilege of providing Funeral Live Streaming and Funeral Webcasting services for a funeral held at St John the Baptist Church in the village of Flookburgh, Cumbria.
The service was extremely well attended, with St John the Baptist Church completely full as family, friends and members of the local community gathered together to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a much loved person. With such a packed church, the Funeral Live Stream allowed many additional relatives and friends who were unable to attend in person to still be part of the day and watch the service online from elsewhere in the UK and abroad.
For this funeral webcast in Flookburgh, I used professional HD video cameras along with dedicated audio equipment to ensure clear sound and reliable coverage throughout the service. Capturing clear audio during funeral live streaming is incredibly important so that viewers watching remotely can clearly hear hymns, readings, prayers, eulogies and personal tributes from loved ones.
Despite the large congregation inside the church, the filming and live streaming setup was carried out as discreetly as possible to ensure there was no distraction from the service itself. My aim with every funeral webcast is to provide respectful and unobtrusive funeral videography whilst maintaining high quality video and audio for those watching online.
The funeral service was streamed securely online in high definition, allowing invited viewers to watch live on mobile phones, tablets, computers and smart TVs. A recorded version of the funeral webcast was also provided afterwards for family members and friends who were unable to watch the live stream at the time.
Funeral Live Streaming continues to become an increasingly valuable service for families across Cumbria, Lancashire and the wider North West. Whether loved ones are elderly, living overseas, unable to travel or simply unable to fit inside a packed church, funeral webcasting helps people remain connected and included during an important and emotional occasion.
Working alongside funeral directors, church staff and families, every funeral live stream is handled with professionalism, sensitivity and care. It is always an honour to help families preserve such meaningful moments and allow distant relatives and friends to still feel part of the farewell.
