In February 2026, I was delighted to provide professional AV Support for Illuminate Festival in Kirkby Lonsdale, helping to deliver the technical production for a special Q&A event with internationally bestselling author Lee Child.
This was a high-profile event with a large audience, and there was no room for technical problems. My role was to provide a reliable multi-camera video feed to the Big Screen, along with projector hire and the associated AV equipment needed to make the event run smoothly.
Multi-Camera Switching for the Big Screen
One of the key requirements was to provide a professional multi-camera feed of the Q&A, allowing the audience to clearly see both Lee Child and the interviewer on the Big Screen.
Using multi-camera switching, I was able to switch between different camera angles during the conversation, creating a dynamic and professional presentation rather than simply displaying a single static camera shot.
The live video feed was then sent to the large screen for the audience, ensuring that everyone in the venue had a clear view of what was happening on stage.
Projector Hire and Event AV Support
As well as the camera and vision system, I also provided projector hire as part of the overall AV support for the event.
